Lamborghini scale models: which manufacturers do them best?
Lamborghini is one of the most iconic car brands in the world, which also makes it a popular choice for scale model collectors. From the Miura to the Huracán: dozens of manufacturers produce Lamborghini models. But who does them best, and which are the most valuable?
AUTOart: the best Lamborghini in diecast
AUTOart has for many years produced the finest diecast Lamborghini models in 1:18. Models such as the Murciélago LP670-4 SV and the Aventador SVJ feature detailed working doors, bonnet and boot. AUTOart models are priced between €200 and €350, but sold-out editions can fetch twice that.
MR Models: handmade and exclusive
For the very highest quality, MR Models versions of Lamborghini are unrivalled. Handmade in Italy, with official licences and in very limited editions. Prices typically range from €400 to €700, but rare colour options can command significantly more on the secondary market. MR also produces 1:43 versions for collectors who prefer a smaller scale.
Kyosho and GT Spirit: solid alternatives
Kyosho produced excellent Lamborghini models in 1:18, particularly of classic cars such as the Countach and Diablo. These are no longer in production, which means market values are rising. GT Spirit offers resin models of more modern Lamborghinis at a lower price point (€100 to €200), but with fewer working parts.
Which Lamborghini models are worth the most?
- Lamborghini Miura (AUTOart, Kyosho): timeless classic, growing demand
- Countach LP500 and LP5000 QV: highly prized among classic Lamborghini collectors
- Aventador J and Veneno: exclusive one-off versions in limited editions
- Sesto Elemento and Egoista: concept cars that barely exist in reality
