Rolls-Royce and Bentley scale models: exclusive in miniature too
Rolls-Royce and Bentley are the most exclusive car brands in the world, and the same holds true for their scale models. The range available is considerably narrower than for Ferrari, Porsche or BMW: not every manufacturer produces Rolls-Royce or Bentley models. Yet there are makers who focus specifically on these marques, with results that do full justice to the exclusivity of the originals.
Paragon Models: specialist in Rolls-Royce and Bentley
Paragon Models is the manufacturer that has specialised most extensively in Rolls-Royce and Bentley in 1:18. The brand produces models of the Ghost, Phantom, Wraith and Cullinan (Rolls-Royce) and the Continental GT, Flying Spur and Bentayga (Bentley). Quality is solid: opening doors, accurate interiors with leather-like upholstery and correct colour schemes. Purchase prices typically range from €120 to €220.
Other manufacturers
Besides Paragon, a few other manufacturers have occasionally released Rolls-Royce or Bentley models, such as Minichamps in 1:43. For 1:18, however, Paragon remains the only specialist that consistently covers the full range.
Vintage Rolls-Royce and Bentley in scale
For classic models, Franklin Mint and Danbury Mint are the best-known names. Their Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow and Bentley Mulsanne from the 1990s are sought after by nostalgia collectors. Quality varies but prices are modest (€30 to €80). Minichamps has sporadically released classic Bentley Le Mans racing cars in 1:43, popular among fans of historic endurance racing.
